Class Dress Guidelines
General Tips: Fitted dancewear helps teachers see alignment and technique. Avoid loose clothing, exposed midriffs, excessive jewelry, or street shoes. No jeans are allowed in any class. Boys may wear athletic clothing for all classes. Hair should always be neat and secure.
Hair
-
Ballet (all ages, including combo classes): Hair must be in a bun.
-
All other classes: Hair should be pulled back and out of the face.
Recreational Students
-
Leotards: Pink or black (when required).
-
Ballet: Pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Boys wear black ballet shoes.
-
Jazz: Tan jazz shoes.
-
Tap: Black tap shoes.
-
Lyrical: Barefoot or skin-tone pirouette shoes.
-
Acro & Silks: Barefoot. Clothing must be fitted—no loose t-shirts or items that could get caught in silks or pose a safety risk.
-
Musical Theatre: All students must wear jazz shoes; no street shoes.
-
Hip-Hop: Sneakers only. No crocs, slip-on shoes, or street shoes worn outside.
Special Notes by Age & Program
-
Ages 3–6 in Combo Classes: Will only change shoes for the second style (Ballet/Tap or Jazz/Acro), not clothing.
-
Elementary – Teen Program: Dancers may change clothing between styles of classes, but teachers will not pause class for wardrobe adjustments.
Tip: We carry all required shoes and dancewear in our studio dancewear store for your convenience.
A Message from Miss Peaches
“I’m so incredibly excited to kick off another season at Peaches Dance Orlando! Whether you’re new or a familiar face, you’re part of our dance family—and seeing our dancers flourish fills my heart every day.
I adore working with kids—the laughs, the new steps, the friendships—they’re what make it magical. Dance is more than steps; it’s joy, expression, growth, and connection.
Our teaching team is truly exceptional. Together, they have:
-
Performed in world-class companies and productions.
-
Taught and choreographed across the country and internationally.
-
Trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, aerial, and musical theatre.
-
Learned at top arts schools and institutions.
-
Appeared in touring shows, TV, and theme parks.
-
Helped dancers pursue college programs and professional careers.
What truly sets them apart is their heart. They lift your dancer, cheer on their progress, and celebrate every milestone.
Here’s to a season full of learning, laughter, and wonderful memories together!” 💛
